Usability Testing -- Get feedback from real users. Learn what aspects of the design work well and what could be improved. Best of all, discover the things you never could have predicted.

Paper Prototyping -- You don't have to code a design in order to test it. Paper prototyping is a proven technique for making rapid, iterative improvements to a user interface.

Contextual Inquiry -- Watching users do their own work in their own work environments can provide key insights into their needs.

Training -- You don't need to rely on usability consultants forever. Develop in-house expertise so that usability can be an integral part of every project you do.

Interface Design -- I do some interface design, but it's not my primary skill. I'm pretty good at figuring out what information should be on a screen, but I leave it to others to make it look nice (I'm not a graphic designer). However, every usability testing project involves some amount of interface redesign. Once we conduct usability tests, I can contribute ideas about how to fix specific problems we've found.
